          ಪೌರಾಡಳಿತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನಾಲಯದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಂತೆ ಪೌರ ಸುಧಾರಣಾ ಕೋಶವು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವ KMRP - Karnataka Municipal Reforms Project (ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪೌರ ಸುಧಾರಣಾ ಯೋಜನೆ)ಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಕ್ಕಲಕೋಟೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ.ತೆಕ್ಕಲಕೋಟೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆ.ಎಮ್.ಆರ್.ಪಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗುರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ಜೊತೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 1989 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ –ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕವನ್ನು ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯ ಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.ಹಾಗೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕುಂದು ಕೊರತೆ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 08.00 ರಿಂದ ರಾತ್ರಿ 08.00 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೆ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ನೊಂದಾಯಸಬಹುದು. ಕುಂದುಕೊರತೆ ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ – 08396-248228.

      Tekkalakote town with a population of about 26247 (as per 2011 census , Male-13011 and Female-13235)  is an important trading center in Bellary District. It is located at a distance of 10km from Siruguppa taluk .and 45 km from Bellary district. It is an active commercial center know for its Paddy,Rice trade Jagadakamalla Nolamba Pallave is said to have ruled Tekkalakote during 1022AD as a subordinate to be their provincial capital and was attacked many times by Raja, the Chola king and chalukya Vijayaditya, Later, Kamplilaraya ruled Tekkalakota during the 12th Century.
